A graduate of St Martin’s School of Art (BA Hons) and Cardiff Metropolitan University (MA, PGCE), Suzanne combines contemporary art and craft through sustainable wearable sculpture. \u003cbr\u003eInspired by Newcastle’s industrial heritage and its ongoing creative transformation, Suzanne sought a way to create jewellery that reflected both place and purpose. This led her to the historic Newcastle Foundries, one of the city’s oldest businesses, established in 1890. There, she discovered bronze metal spill, a by-product of the industrial casting process that would otherwise be treated as waste. \u003cbr\u003eEach piece begins as an irregular bronze fragment, spilt onto sand and formed by chance. Suzanne carefully sculpts and finishes every piece by hand, preserving its organic character while transforming it into a refined piece of wearable sculpture.
