Carved Pearl Drop Earrings - Ambroise Degenève

Ambroise Degenève is a contemporary jeweller living and working in Paris. When it came to his studies at HEAD, the Haute école d’art et de design, in Geneva, he wavered between architecture and jewellery, but it wasn’t long before the jewels won him over.

Freshwater pearls, which Ambroise has faceted to created a flower like pattern within the pearl. The pearl is threaded on to a titanium.
Length including hook 22mm, width 9mm. Each earring weighs approximately 7.5g.

Ambroise is inspired by nature – but also by the nature of the jewel: its history, the techniques attached to it and its symbolism all fascinate him.
His recent creations combine stones (natural or synthetic) and cultured pearls with metal by electroforming.
