Among a field of repurposed rhinestones sits a single diamond, almost impossible to distinguish from its neighbours. By transforming discarded materials into contemporary jewellery, the work playfully questions ideas of rarity, preciousness and consumption, inviting us to consider whether value lies in the material itself or in the stories we choose to tell.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eBridget Kennedy is a Sydney-based contemporary jeweller, artist, curator and educator whose practice explores sustainability, material reuse and the emotional resonance of personal objects. Working predominantly with reclaimed metals, inherited gemstones and found materials, she is best known for her remakeries - collaborative commissions that transform unworn or sentimental jewellery into contemporary pieces with renewed meaning and longevity. \u003cbr\u003eOriginally trained in IT and banking systems, Kennedy retrained in Contemporary Jewellery and Object Design at TAFE NSW before completing a Master of Studio Art. Her interdisciplinary background informs a practice that combines conceptual thinking with strong technical making skills and a deep interest in circular economy principles.\u003cbr\u003eAlongside her studio practice, Kennedy is an active advocate for community-led sustainability initiatives and the role of craft in social and environmental change. She is co-founder of The Sydney Library of Things, a founding member of Repair Café Sydney North, and President of Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios.
