Acacia Necklace - Sarah Bourke

An elegant double pendant necklace that celebrates and contrasts the textures of timber grain against sterling silver. 

Handmade by Sarah Bourke on the far south coast of New South Wales, whose work brings together silversmithing and woodworking, drawing on forms found in the natural environment.

Crafted in sterling silver and hardwood, the two pendants are shaped with gentle curves, allowing shadows and highlights to draw attention. In the larger pendant, the contrast between timber and metal brings variation in tone and texture, with the natural character of the wood warm against the cooler surface of the silver, while the second, smaller pendant is a pod of satin textured silver that nestles against its partner.

The pendants sit lower against the chest, moving with the wearer.
