A sterling silver chain necklace punctuated with ten hand-worked brass discs.

Handmade by Jane Hodgetts in Hobart, Tasmania, whose work embraces traces of process, irregular form and the individuality of hand making.

Crafted in sterling silver and brass, the necklace features ten small brass discs spaced along the chain. Surface variations and subtle irregularities remain visible within the metal, reflecting the handmade nature of the piece and bringing texture to the composition. The spacing between the discs, and the contrast between silver and brass, gives the necklace balance.

Light in scale, it sits comfortably against the body, with the articulated chain allowing the discs to settle naturally as worn. This necklace has no clasp is it is long enough to slip comfortably over the head.
