Baroque Pearl Pendant - Catherine White
A baroque freshwater pearl suspended beneath a handstamped sterling silver bail and bar element.
Handmade by Catherine White in Lake Macquarie, New South Wales, whose work draws on patterns and textures found in the natural environment to create sculptural silver jewellery.
Crafted in sterling silver, the pendant combines a large baroque pearl with a hand-formed bail stamped in Catherine’s signature style. The elongated silver bar creates structure above the pearl, while the organic surface and irregular form of the pearl bring softness and variation to the composition. Suspended from a 55 cm curb chain, the pendant sits lower on the chest, with the pearl moving freely below the silver elements.
The contrast between the structured silver components and the fluid shape of the pearl gives the piece a clear sculptural presence.
