Bi-metal earrings combining sterling silver and copper discs with a hand-worked textured finish.

Handmade by Jane Hodgetts in Hobart, Tasmania, whose work embraces traces of process, irregular form and the individuality of hand making.

Crafted in sterling silver and copper, the earrings combine circular forms in contrasting metals, bringing variation in tone and texture across the composition. Surface irregularities and traces of process remain visible within the metal, reflecting the handmade nature of the piece. The combination of silver and copper creates a material contrast, while the suspended disc forms bring gentle movement below the ear.

Extended in scale, the circular forms create a simple, balanced silhouette.

The disc is a bi-metal, sterling silver on one side and copper on the reverse and the hook is gold-filled. 

The diameter of the discs are approx 40mm and the total length of the earring including the hook and the disc is 65mm.
