Pearl and Eye Earrings - Ari Athans

A stylised blackened silver eye sits above a luminous white pearl, creating a striking pair of earrings with bold contrast and a slightly talismanic feel.

Handmade by Ari Athans in Brisbane, whose work explores unexpected combinations of material, colour and form.

Crafted in sterling silver, each earring features Ari’s graphic eye motif, oxidised to a deep black finish and suspended from a sterling silver ear wire. A white pearl hangs below, its soft lustre and rounded form contrasting with the darkened silver and precise geometry of the eye. Sculptural, playful and a little mysterious, the earrings bring together two very different materials in a beautifully balanced composition.
