Slender Hakea leaves in oxidised silver and rich 24ct gold sit above polished black onyx drops, bringing together fine botanical detail with a bold contrast of colour and finish.

Handmade by Robin Wells in Perth, whose jewellery explores the beauty and fragility of Australian native flora through finely detailed, contemporary forms.

Each leaf-shaped element is crafted in fine silver, oxidised to a deep black and overlaid with 24ct gold using the traditional Korean technique of keum-boo. A delicate stamped leaf impression adds another layer of detail to the surface, while the elongated black onyx cabochons below are highly polished for a smooth, glossy finish. Long and elegant with plenty of movement, the combination of black, gold and botanical texture gives these earrings a striking graphic quality.
