Simple sterling silver discs are transformed by a rippled, hammered surface that catches and reflects the light as they move.

Handmade by Newcastle-based artist Xanthe Alys, whose jewellery combines an obsession with fine detail with a playful, experimental approach to materials and making.

Crafted in sterling silver, each disc is hammered by hand to create an irregular pattern of tiny facets and undulations across its surface. The changing texture plays with light, shifting from soft highlights to brighter flashes as the earrings move. Minimal in form but full of subtle detail, they are an easy everyday pair with just enough shimmer to make them interesting.
