Petite Pebbles Necklace - Sarah Bourke

An elegant articulated pendant necklace that celebrates and contrasts the textures of timber grain against sterling silver.

Handmade by Sarah Bourke on the far south coast of New South Wales, whose work brings together silversmithing and woodworking, drawing on forms found in the natural environment.

Crafted in sterling silver and hardwood, the stacked pebble forms are shaped with gentle curves and softened angles, allowing shadows and highlights to draw attention. The contrast between timber and metal brings variation in tone and texture, with the natural character of the wood warm against the cooler surface of the silver. Hidden hinges allow subtle, sinuous movement. 

The pendants sit lower against the chest, moving with the wearer.
