Christine Battocchio

Christine Battocchio is a contemporary jeweller based in Yackandandah in North East Victoria, Australia, where she creates handmade work from her studio.

She studied jewellery making and silversmithing in Launceston, Sydney and Melbourne, holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts, and participated as a student at the Internationale Sommerakademie für Bildende Kunst in Salzburg, Austria.

Her work is influenced by the colours and shapes of natural and built environments, as well as our relationship to place, our identities within these landscapes, and how surroundings shape who we are. She creates modern silver and resin jewellery characterised by organic forms, simple design, and either earthy or bold colours.
