Lisa Jose is a Canberra/Kamberri-based silversmith and artist. She started making jewellery while completing her PhD in archaeology, and established Stuart the Cat Designs in 2008. She currently works as a silversmith alongside her practice as a printmaker.

Lisa's influences are diverse, melding her passion for the ancient world with a love of bold colour and clean, simple design. She is excited by the potential of unconventional materials, and over the years has worked with elements as diverse as fossilised mammoth bone, Bedouin silver beads and power pole identification discs.
