Rich blue lapis drops hang beneath slender golden leaves, creating a striking combination of deep colour, warm 24ct gold and oxidised silver.

Handmade by Robin Wells in Perth, whose jewellery explores the beauty and fragility of Australian native flora through finely detailed, contemporary forms.

Each leaf-shaped element is crafted in fine silver, oxidised to a deep black and overlaid with 24ct gold using the traditional Korean technique of keum-boo. A finely stamped leaf impression runs across the surface, bringing delicate botanical detail to the contrasting black and gold. Suspended below, elongated polished lapis cabochons introduce an intense natural blue and a smooth counterpoint to the textured metal above. Long, slender and full of movement, the earrings balance rich colour with Robin’s finely observed botanical forms.
