Hakea Nut Long Earrings - Robin Wells

Long, slender panels of silver and rich 24ct gold are embossed with Hakea nut forms, turning intricate botanical detail into a striking elongated pair of earrings.

Handmade by Robin Wells in Perth, whose jewellery explores the beauty and fragility of Australian native flora through finely detailed, contemporary forms.

Crafted in fine silver with sterling silver hooks, each earring is fused with 24ct gold using the traditional Korean technique of keum-boo. Hakea nut forms are embossed across the layered silver and gold surface, creating a richly detailed pattern that shifts between the contrasting metals. The long, narrow shape gives the botanical imagery a more graphic quality, while the freely suspended construction allows the earrings to move lightly and catch the light as they are worn.
