Mimosa Rocks Earrings by Sarah Bourke

Sale price$280

Only Once - Contemporary Jewellery Exhibition 2026

Sterling silver, macassar ebony wood.
55 x 18 x 8mm.

My Mimosa Rocks set is a combination of my two loves, textured sterling silver hollow forms and hand formed tactile wood.
Each piece has wood with silver inlay to reflect details seen in the natural world. Inspired by my local Mimosa Rocks National park at my doorstep with beautiful pebbly beaches.
Trying to move away from my wood range that I have loved working with for many years; I felt compelled to have a bit of freedom making these pieces combining silver with wood. It is exciting to make unique one a kind pieces that can be enjoyed by the wearer as an original work of art.

Sarah Bourke is a jewellery artist from the far south coast of NSW. In her off-grid bush studio, Sarah's jewellery practice includes woodworking and silversmithing for more than twenty years. Specialising in hammered hollow sterling silver forms with soft satin and textured finishes. Wood has been a dominant part of her Jewellery range. Hand forming hardwoods into natural shapes, inspired by the Australian bush in which she lives. These pieces are a reflection of both these practices combined to express the beauty of Mimosa Rocks National Park that she lives alongside.
