Pipis Earrings - Sarah Bourke
Sterling silver earrings paired with hardwood, shaped with a curved, shell-like form.
Handmade by Sarah Bourke on the far south coast of New South Wales, whose work brings together silversmithing and woodworking, drawing on forms found in the natural environment.
Crafted in sterling silver and hardwood, the rounded forms are shaped with a gentle curve, creating depth across the surface. The contrast between timber and metal brings variation in tone and texture, with the natural character of the wood against the cooler surface of the silver.
Suspended from simple hooks, they hang lightly and move with the wearer.
